MAHABHARAT HAS A LOT OF THINGS THAT CAN BE DISCUSSED IN DETAILS , LIKE REFERENCES OF VARIOUS PLACES OUTSIDE INDIA, BETTER WARRIORS , VARIOUS TEACHINGS, etc. 1). IN ADI PARV, at Draupadi Swayamvar only arjun was able to lift the bow, although T.V. serials shows that Karn lifted it but was refused by draupadi. this is wrong, it is clearly written that no one was able to lift up the bow and how can draupadi refuse to someone who is cordially invited by your father to take part in the competition. its nowhere written in Mahabharata ( if anyone claims that draupadi said so, and karn also lifted the bow, then give me the reference of the slok of Mahabharata where it is written). So arjun was better. 2). arjun defeated karn in the fight after swayamvar,So arjun proved was better. 3). Arjun dfeated gandharv, karn and others have to run away in VAN PARV. So arjun proved was better. 4). karn insulted draupadi, calling her "vaishya" and asking her to sit on the lap of duryodhan IN SABHA PARV. 5). Arjun defeated the whole army of duryodhan single handedly. that army included BHISHM, DRON, ASHWATHAMA, "KARN" , DUSHASHAN, KRIP, DURYODHAN, and others in VIRAT PARV. So arjun proved was better. 6). karn was even deated by abhimanyu and 7 Maharathis killed Abhimanyu ( just 16 years old child) by unfair means in DRON PARV. 7). KARN was defeatd by Bhim 4 times and defeated bhim only once, in Dron Parv, so even bhim was a better warrior than karn in mahabharat war, so forget about comparing him with arjun. 8). Arjun had taken the oth that Karn killed his son in hi absence but I will kill his son in the presence of Karn, and he did it. karn was not able to save his own son , even he was present at the spot. 9).ARJUN HAD MANY DIVYASTRAS (MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE IN MAHABHARAT , HE EARNED THEM IN HIS VISIT TO SWARGLOK) BUT NEVER USED THEM IN WAR OF MAHABHARAT.
Krishna himself had stated that with the kavach-kundalas or Indra's shakti weapon, even Krishna or Arjuna or anyone else would have found it hard to vanquish Karna in battle. In critical times in the mahabharatha, Krishna had lead Arjuna away from Karna, as he was wary of Karna using Indra's shakti weapon against Arjuna, for which there was no defence. It was only after Karna lost the weapon against Ghatotkacha, that Krishna lead Arjuna to Karna. Karna , known for his generosity, had also given vows to his mother Kunti, that he would not kill any of the pandavas in battle except for Arjuna. Even against Arjuna , he had vowed that he would not use any divine weapon more than once. Thus Karna was handicapped by a lot of vows against the pandavas in battle. Karna was known for his resolution and courage , and was praised for his skill in archery by Krishna himself. It was due to Krishna's superb skill in charioteering and tactical awareness, that Arjuna was able to vanquish Karna in battle, or else Karna could have emerged as the victor.
