    Gemstone or birth stones or lucky stones affect the human body through their measured radiations. It is a piece of mineral, which, in cut and polished form, is used to make jewelry or other adornments. They increase the psychic powers of an individual and ward off the ill-effects of planets by their curative powers.

    Amethyst has been a prized gem for centuries. Amethyst was used as a gemstone by the ancient Egyptians and was largely employed in antiquity for intaglio engraved gems. The Amethyst is a variety of quartz ,transparent to translucent,distinguished by its purple color due to the presence of iron in the crystal lattice.
