I may not be a religious person, but I am spiritual. I have a personal relationship with God. I talk to Him wherever and whenever I want to. I don't justify my actions using His name. And, I don't tell others what their relationship with God should be like, or if they should have one at all. That free will thing... I do not believe that there is a right or a wrong way to worship. If you want to talk to God, then do it. If you don't want to believe that there is a God, then don't. It's your choice. All I really think that God cares about is that we humans be the best humans we can be and that we treat each other well. We shouldn't lie, cheat or steal because those things hurt someone else. I strive to be a better person today than I was the day before. I don't think God is asking any more of me than that.
I love what you just wrote I can relate to that. God loves us all weather or not we believe as long as we try our best everyday to live a righteous life. And if sometimes remember God and be thankful for all we have, life will get better.
Definition of spiritual practice We define spiritual practice as honest and sincere efforts done consistently on a daily basis to develop Divine qualities and achieve everlasting happiness or Bliss. Another way of defining spiritual practice is our personal journey of going inward beyond our five senses, mind and intellect to experience the Soul (the God) within each one of us. One of the qualities of God is perpetual Bliss and so by tapping into the Soul, we too experience Bliss. For spiritual practice to generate rapid spiritual growth it should: Conform to the six basic principles of spiritual practice Be done in progressively higher increments qualitatively and quantitatively
Spirituality is something which gives us peace and inner satisfaction. It teaches us to work for humanity and mankind.
