God is called Brahmn, Whole world dwells in Brahmn, Whole world comes from Brahmn, Whole world goes back in Brahmn, Whole world breathes in Brahmn, Let's worship that Brahmn, the God. "maya tatam idam sarvam jagad avyakta-murtina mat-sthani sarva-bhutani na chaham tesv avasthitah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 4) "Sri Krishna said: By Me, in My unmanifested form, this entire universe is pervaded. All beings are in Me, but I am not in them." "athakasa-sthito nityam vayuh sarvatra-go mahan tatha sarvani bhutani mat-sthanity upadharaya" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 6) "Sri Krishna said: Understand that as the mighty wind, blowing everywhere, rests always in the sky, all created beings rest in Me." "prakritim svam avastabhya visrijami punah punah bhuta-gramam imam krtsnam avasam prakriter vasat" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 8) "Sri Krishna said: The whole cosmic order is under Me. Under My will it is automatically manifested again and again, and under My will it is annihilated at the end."
God is a faith of human beings that a Supernatural Power exists in this universe which has created us & this all other universal forms. He is having supernatural powers, who is omniscient (knows everything), who is omnipresent (who is present everywhere), omnipotent (who is having all the powers & is all powerful), who is imperishable & indestructible. Faith of humans in such a big & great entity having all the powers is known as God. Bhagwat Gita also describes the God in a similar way. As per Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 17 "avinasi tu tad viddhi yena sarvam idam tatam vinasam avyayasyasya na kascit kartum arhati" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 17) "Sri Krishna said: Know that to be imperishable & indestructible, by which all this is pervaded; for none can bring about the destruction of this indestructible substance, the imperishable soul." As per Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 6 "athakasa-sthito nityam vayuh sarvatra-go mahan tatha sarvani bhutani mat-sthanity upadharaya" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 6) "Sri Krishna said: Understand that just as the mighty wind, blowing everywhere, rests always in the sky, so do all created beings rest in Me." The above verse explains the omnipresent nature of God (one who is present everywhere.
God is a form of energy and it is present everywhere. We can't do anything without energy. Infact god is everything, this nature, wind all is god. God is the creator of life.
Given the diversity of Hinduism, I think a more appropriate wording, or question would be, Who is God to you?"
Actually God has no particular name. By saying He has no name, we mean that no one knows how many names He has. Since God is unlimited, His names also must be unlimited. Therfore we cannot settle on one name. God has many dealings with His many devotees, and according to those dealings, He is called certain names. Since He has innumerable devotees and innumerable relations with them, He also has innumerable names. We cannot hit on any one name. But the name Krishna means “all attractive”. God attracts everyone; that is the definition of God. We have seen many pictures of Kṛṣṇa and we see that He attracts the cows, calves, birds, beasts, trees, plants, and even the water in Vrndavana. He is attractive to the cowherd boys, to the gopis, to Nanda Maharaja, to the Pandavas, and to all human society. Therefore if any particular name can be given to God, that name is “Kṛṣṇa”.
