Takes on Babaji vary from school to school, but you're correct there seems to be a lot that is influenced by him, especially in Hindu circles also associated with New Age stuff. I don't think anyone can really know for sure.

I have just gone through few chats and many of them claim that it can be illusive approach.
one of them told me about baba ji stating that he have Nirmankaya and hence I had posted the thread What is Nirmankaya and who are Nirmankaya yogi's ? questioning about the same. Can i attain this level ?

It isn't about attaining. It's about becoming, and yes eventually we all naturally become more aware of higher states. This idea of attaining something is ego bound.

God guides. Ganesha is the most easily contacted, so what many will do is clarify their question really well, put it to Ganesha in prayer petition, than wait. he will answer, but it may be a surprise too, because Ganesha is bound by dharma.

Sometimes his guidance will be nothing at all, as if the prayer isn't in line with dharma, He won't act. But that's generally how Hindus approach it ... at least those of us with a mystical inclination.

    I find it strange :(
It isn't clear, nor logical but may be it is how it proceeds..
